The people behind Omneyat

Omneyat Foundation’s board is entirely volunteer run. The eight board members share the responsibility of ensuring the Foundation does what it was set up to do.

Fatima Alhasan

President

Fatima is a masters of law graduate from Georgetown University. She is a partner in the banking and finance practice group at Baker & McKenzie. Her previous jobs include other international law firms, Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund and the World Bank. Fatima is a member of the Bahrain Bar Society and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London. Fatima is generally active with community, social and charity work; her main interest and passion lies in education.

Ingy Alireza

Vice President & Clinical Chair

Ingy has a dual Masters in Intellectual Disability/Autism and Early Childhood Special Education from Columbia University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), since 2006, and a New York State certified early childhood special educator. Ingy is currently pursuing a MSc. in Applied Neuroscience at Kings College London. Ingy has worked as a therapist and consultant to families, mainstream and special education schools, and autism organizations in the Middle East and NYC since 2005. Ingy is the founder of Think Behavior and Development Center for Children. She is passionate about promoting evidence based practice and professional accountability in the GCC.

Husain AlQaseer

Treasurer

Husain currently works as a Senior Vice President on the Asset Management team at Al Salam Bank Bahrain. Husain also has a wealth of experience in the non-profit sector. Besides being the Treasurer of Omneyat, he is also Treasurer of Dreams Society since 2012, was development committee member in Firefly Autism school in Denver, CO, and worked with several charities globally including: UNICEF, Roteract, Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind, Together with the Children, Project CURE, and Food Bank of the Rockies. Husain is a Fulbright Scholar and holds an MBA with a concentration in Non-Profit Management and a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Denver, CO, USA.

Wiebke Buelow

Secretary

Wiebke is a certified KonMari Consultant and started her own professional home organizing company 2019 in Bahrain. Wiebke is a seasoned professional with a vast experience in sales, marketing and operations and worked for international companies in the hospitality, IT and finance industry in Germany and Bahrain. In 2008 she moved to Bahrain and worked at Thomson Reuters as Head of Project Management for the Global Islamic Finance Division. She then started her entrepreneurial career with Gemme Couture, a Dubai based fine jewellery brand, as a partner and Director Sales & Marketing. Wiebke has a BA degree from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Germany. Her passion is race car driving and traveling.

Fawzieh (Fifi) Kiwan

Community Projects Chair

Fifi is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She obtained her dual Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University in the United States. She is a member of the Golden Key Honors Society and has worked for over 17 years with a multitude of individuals with autism developmental disabilities ranging from the age of 2 to 22 using Applied Behavior Analysis. Fifi has worked in 1:1 home-based behavior therapy programs and has designed training protocols for ABA therapists, parents, and paraprofessionals alike. Fifi has also worked as a consultant within the home and school environment.

Carla Saliba

Marketing Chair

Carla brings over 22 years of experience in design related disciplines to the Foundation. She began her career as an architect in 2001 and obtained a master’s degree in 2011 in business design specializing in ‘design thinking’. She is the founder and CEO of Infographic.ly in Dubai, the first information design & data visualization agency in the Middle East that focuses on helping companies communicate data to stakeholders clearly and effectively. In addition to sitting on the board of Omneyat, she is a Responsible Leader Alumni for the BMW Foundation.
