Changing Bahrain’s Landscape: Empowering Families and Credentialing Professionals

Autism currently affects an estimated 1 in 36 children worldwide (CDC, 2023).

Autism currently affects an estimated 1 in 36 children worldwide (CDC, 2023).

In Bahrain, only 6 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are registered, serving a population that includes an estimated 22,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental delays.

Omneyat’s Mission is to improve the landscape to support evidence based practice in Bahrain by addressing two main challenges that exist locally today

01
Scarcity of information on the array of treatment options marketed to families Disseminate timely, and scientifically sound information, combating unsubstantiated, and false information about autism and its treatment.

02
Scarcity of credentialed
professionals and centers Facilitate international credentialing in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) for local professionals.
